Overview
The Supervision - Contribution Management - I (Government Nodal Office) department at PFRDA is supervising and monitoring NPS and UPS related activities within the Central government sector and NPS related activities within the State Governments, and Autonomous Bodies thereunder.
 

Key Functions:
1. Supervisory Review and Oversight: Undertake comprehensive review and analytical assessment of periodic reports submitted by Central Recordkeeping Agencies (CRAs) to evaluate the effectiveness, compliance, and performance of government sector nodal offices (CG/SG/CAB/SAB) in the implementation of the National Pension System (NPS) and the Unified Pension System (UPS) for Central Government subscribers.
2. Performance Monitoring and Compliance Tracking: Monitor and assess the operational efficiency and compliance of Central and State Government nodal offices with prescribed guidelines for the implementation and administration of NPS and UPS (Central Government), ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
3. Official Correspondence and Stakeholder Communication: Manage official communications, queries, and representations received from government departments, autonomous bodies, and other institutional stakeholders, ensuring timely, accurate, and policy-aligned resolutions.
4. Inter-Governmental Coordination and Liaison: Facilitate engagement and coordination with various ministries, departments, and government entities to support, guide, and strengthen the implementation framework of NPS and UPS for Central Government employees, in line with regulatory objectives and policy mandates.
5. Training of Government Nodal Offices for activities pertaining to NPS and UPS.
